Hello

Hope you are all enjoying this fine bit of weather we are having.

Just a reminder we don’t have refrigerated vans so hopefully all your veg will arrive in tip top condition throughout the warmer months but if you ever have any issues then please let me know!

This sun is helping push us out of the hunger gap and into the new season of British veg.

There are a lot of new British lines available this week including…

  • Leeds grown mixed salad leaves from Passion4Plants. This week there won’t be too many available but production of these 100g bags should ramp up quite quickly.
  • Radishes - French breakfast - but very much grown in the UK. These feature in some boxes this week but won’t be available as swaps unless people remove them from their baskets.
  • Flat parsley from Lincolnshire, in some boxes and a very small amount available as swaps.
  • Green batavia lettuce also from Lincolnshire.
  • Baby leaf spinach from Lancashire available as a swap or an add on here.
  • Short cucumbers from Suffolk available as a swap.
  • Asparagus is also back and available to add to your basket here

Carrots next week come from Italy as the British and now the Dutch carrots are exhausted. Hopefully the Italians can do carrots better than the Dutch can!

From Europe there are red peppers, yellow peppers, coriander, mini plum tomato punnets, broccoli and cucumbers

Stoned fruit season continues next week with more lovely apricots and nectarines. Along with plenty of bananas, melon, jazz apples & cripps pink apples.

Have a great weekend
Thanks
Sam
