Hello,
Back to normality this week, everything went to plan despite the sub zero temperatures!
I hope everybody's bananas ripen up ok...
This week I'll start with a new product. Rob & Sarah at Passion4Plants have been quietly experimenting in the background and are pleased to bring us Tendril Pea Shoots.
Sweet, succulent shoots with a fresh pea flavour. As well as useful as a garnish, they taste great when tossed into salads, wilted into hot dishes or whizzed into smoothies. Best kept in the fridge and consumed within a couple of day.
These little punnets are available as swaps or to add to your box. Find them here.
Leeds Bread Co-op are also starting off the new year with a new product. They've got a brand new special for us, a seeded rye bread. It's available here.
Elsewhere it feels like there is a real good mixture of produce on offer next week and finally a good amount of swaps up for grabs!
The blood oranges were excellent last week but I forgot they are too expensive for most boxes. I tried to add them to medium sized boxes but it was nearly impossible to do without reducing the overall varieties. So instead I've added them this week to all large and fruit boxes and there are some available as extras which can be found here.
There's also some new red chillies available this week for all you spice lovers out there. They shouldn't be too hot.
There are single avo's to add on to your order and plenty of celebration squash available as swaps too at a reduce price.
From the UK we have celeriac, sprouts, parsnips and kalettes.
From Europe there is the return of the gold (best) kiwis, oronule clementines from Seville, broccoli, two type of tomatoes and cucumbers.
Have a great weekend.
Thanks
Sam
